God

We believe that there is only one God and there are no other gods.  We believe in God the Creator who is the only source of all that is good and of everything created.  God created us in his image, both male and female, so that we can live in him and he can live in us. God sets the boundaries for what is right and wrong and entrusts us with the freedom to always choose what is holy. The steadfast love of the Lord never changes.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus is the only son of the Living God. Jesus is completely divine and fully human.  Filled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life.  His life, miracles, death and resurrection attest to the coming of God’s kingdom. We believe He ascended to heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God. The Church is his body and bride. Jesus is coming back. 

Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God at work in us to bring us to Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit comes to live in us, speak to us, and lead us in all the ways of Jesus. The Holy Spirit works with our human spirit and teaches us to pray, to listen when God speaks and to inspire us through his word. The Spirit also sets us free and empowers us to live as the children of God. We believe that all the gifts of the Holy Spirit are at work today. 

Trinity

We believe in the mystery of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, each distinct and yet one.  The mystery of the trinity is both deeply attractive and profoundly humbling.

Bible

We believe the Bible reveals God, his nature, character, and his work.  Therefore it is authoritative for both life and conduct.

Church

We believe the Church is the gathering of peoples through the ages, and from every nation, both young and old, male and female, each witnessing that there is no salvation from sin and death without Jesus Christ.

A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians has as its mission to build flourishing churches that make disciples of Jesus Christ.
